Main Purpose

The Deputy Manager (O&M) will provide support to the Project Manager to develop, manage and deliver various projects safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality expectations of FMM and the client management team. They will manage the dedicated team, assuring the compliance with the technical requirements and customer satisfaction, supervising the work carried out by the teams; managing the KPI driven business.

Accountabilities

· Assist the Project Manager in directing and controlling all the activities of the ‘Facilities & Infrastructure Department’ covered in the contract in a safe and cost-effective manner to enable the client to meet its objectives and fulfils the targets of the approved annual business plan.

· Assist in establishing and maintaining a reliable manpower organization by supporting the development and implementation of Operations & Maintenance philosophies and processes that enhance asset availability and promote client satisfaction.

•  Collaborate with the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders to integrate multidisciplinary, inter-departmental, project, and contractor activities, ensuring high availability and reliability of facilities in alignment with international standards, statutory regulations, and client policies.

•  Support the Project Manager in ensuring the safety, availability, and reliability of the client’s facilities related to the scope of the contract, and take delegated responsibility as required.

•  Promote a culture of safety, encouraging team commitment and active participation to meet the client’s business objectives. Contribute to maintaining a work environment where injury, environmental harm, or asset damage is minimized.

•  Provide guidance and support to subordinates and contractor staff, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with client policies, procedures, and technical standards.

•  Act as a liaison between the Project Manager and the client, assisting in addressing challenges in contract execution and contributing to the development of effective solutions.

Qualification

Essential

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
  • 10 years’ experience FM services
  • Good written and spoken English
