Main Purpose

An Operational Team Leader will achieve the highest quality of cleanliness by directing and coordinating the Soft Services operation in accordance with the standards and policies of FMM.

Accountabilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of custodial staff to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and client satisfaction.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate custodial team members, guiding proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
  • Inspect public areas, and back-of-house areas regularly to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and address any deficiencies promptly.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of cleaning schedules.
  • Ability to lead a team of  30-50 cleaning operatives.
  • Advanced technical knowledge (strip & seal of floors, floor restoration,  advanced chemical knowledge, knowledge of different types of cleaning equipment and machines)

Qualification

  • Diploma or Associate Degree or equivalent in Business Management / Hotel & Restaurant Management / Housekeeping / Building Maintenance
  • Previous experience in Housekeeping or Cleaning in Facilities Management or related field, with at least 2 years in a team leading / supervisory role ​​​​​​​
  • BICSc /  FIGR / ISSA (preferred)
