Main Purpose

As Procurement Officer, you will provide expert guidance on procurement and contract management. You will be responsible for the establishment and management of significant contracts for goods and services that are critical to the operation of the company. You will also be responsible for providing procurement advice and support to other lines of business within the company for general procurement activities.

Accountabilities

  • Effectively establish and manage contracts for goods and services that are critical to the operations of the company in accordance with legislation, audit regulations and Procurement policies.
  • Provide leadership, advice and assistance to support the capability development of procurement and contract management staff within the team.
  • Inventories and may order supplies, equipment and materials for projects including determining appropriate supplies and materials and locating vendors.
  • Provide input into budget requests in areas of assignments.
  • Ensure procurement activities are managed, developed and implemented in accordance with specified parameters meeting timeframes, budgets and objectives.
  • Ensure procurement and contract objectives are achieved and deliver value for money outcomes.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service is provided to internal customers.
  • Exercise high levels of strategic procurement knowledge, expertise and experience and apply high-level risk management techniques to effectively manage and minimize procurement and contractual risk.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of best practice processes, procedures and systems relating to procurement and contract management

Qualification

  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience in the facilities management industry.
  • Diploma/degree or equivalent in any discipline.
