Main Purpose
A Nurse will provide first aid care, medical assistance, and facilitate referrals to walk-in clinics or public hospitals in Qatar for staff visiting the FMM First Aid Unit. He/she will be a responsible and well-trained professional, capable of delivering high-quality nursing care with minimal supervision. The nurse will also be accountable for consistently following health and safety guidelines. The goal is to promote patient well-being by providing excellent nursing care and sound medical advice.
Accountabilities
Provide first aid support at the FMM First Aid Unit (FAU).
Maintain up-to-date clinic records related to consultations, employee health surveillance, medical leaves, diagnoses, medications provided, etc.
Ensure all medical aids and equipment are properly maintained, and that calibration or cross-checks are performed regularly and on time.
Conduct regular inspections of first aid items to ensure they are valid and safe to use.
Dispose of medical waste according to established protocols.
Maintain the first aid register with accurate and current information.
Ensure the first aid clinic is clean and hygienically maintained.
Follow up with hospitals and clinics regarding FMM employee referrals.
Ensure adequate PPE is available in the FAU.
Conduct daily inspections of isolation rooms and ensure they are ready for use.
Coordinate and communicate with the accommodation management team to ensure patients admitted to isolation rooms receive appropriate welfare provisions.
Operational
Immediately escalate any injuries or serious health conditions to the HSEQ Manager and HR Manager for prompt attention.
Demonstrate commitment to HSE by complying with FMM HSEQ requirements.
Provide health support and advice through newsletters and posters promoting well-being.
Identify areas for improvement related to quality, health, safety, and environmental aspects of FAU operations.
Support and coordinate the smooth implementation of HSEQ activities in the clinic, including but not limited to:
Preparation of monthly reports
Accuracy in medical records
Daily clinic inspections
Reporting and escalation of accidents and incidents
Qualification
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a nurse
• Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Strong understanding of emergency care practices
• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Responsible and compassionate
• BSc or diploma from a recognized nursing program
• Valid nursing license (QCHP)
